Asahi Kasei Chemicals (AKCC) is the core operating company for all chemical-related operations of the Asahi Kasei Group. Beginning with Japan’s first commercial ammonia synthesis in 1923, process and product innovation have driven the expansion and growth of operations. Within AKCC’s broad portfolio of products, the following; Xyron (modified polyphenylene ether), Leona (nylon 6/6, 6/6/+6i) and Tenac (homopolymer and copolymer acetals) are compounded and sold by Asahi Kasei Plastics.
